Surprise photo challenges for your wedding

The photo game for your wedding.
The whole room plays.

Throughout the day, a little photo challenge arrives at a surprise time on every guest's phone, all at once. Tables mingle, generations come together, the photos are revealed together. You simply enjoy it. And the next morning, you see your wedding through everyone's eyes.

  • Nothing to install for your guests

How it works

1

A QR code on every table

Your guests scan it and type their first name. Nothing to install, no account.

2

Challenges at surprise times

About every 45 minutes, every phone is alerted at the same moment.

3

Post first, then discover

Everyone else's photos are revealed only once you've posted yours.

4

The whole album for you

Every photo, sorted by challenge, with each guest's first name.

Your day with Clinkpop

Picture your Saturday, hour by hour

Here is Camille and Hugo's wedding: 120 guests, a country estate near Angers, drinks in the park. Swap in your own names.

Saturday 19 June120 guests12 challenges through the day
3:00 pmCeremony

Nothing rings. Phones stay in pockets.

You said the game starts at 5 pm. During the ceremony, nobody is disturbed: emotions first, the photographer's pictures after.

YouYou say yes. That's all we ask of you today.
A bride and her grandmother, forehead to forehead
5:05 pmDrinks reception

Margaux finds the card on the high table

She scans the QR code with her phone's camera. A page opens: “Welcome to Camille & Hugo's wedding. What's your name?” She types her first name. Twenty seconds, and she's in the game. Her uncle, next to her, does the same.

YouNothing. The cards were set out in the morning by the caterer or a witness.
Guests laughing during the drinks reception, glass in hand
Guest welcome screen: welcome to Camille and Hugo's wedding, first name field
5:32 pmFirst challenge

A hundred and twenty phones are alerted at once

“Raise a glass with someone you didn't know this morning”

A short silence, then laughter. Hugo's university friends go and find Camille's cousins. Colleagues dare to approach the family. In ten minutes the drinks reception has changed: everyone has a good reason to talk to a stranger.

YouNothing. The challenge went out on its own, at a time even you didn't know exactly.
Two guests who had never met getting to know each other, laughing
6:41 pmStill in the park

Granny Paulette becomes the star of the drinks

“Three generations of one family together”

Everyone wants her. She doesn't have a smartphone? No matter: her grandchildren take the photo with her. Margaux posts hers, and only then does she discover everyone else's. The little joy of the reveal.

YouYou pose with your grandparents. Six times, probably.
A grandmother bursts out laughing at a wedding
8:47 pmDinner

Chairs scrape, two tables become one

“A photo with the whole table next to yours”

Between the starter and the main course, table 4 gets up as one to visit table 5. Everyone is in fits of laughter, the waiters are amused. Even those who aren't playing raise their glass to be in the photo.

YouYou watch your guests having fun. That's exactly why you threw this wedding.
A table of guests in fits of laughter during dinner
OptionalA screen in the room

The photos, big

A screen or a projector, if you have one. Each challenge shows up big, then the photos scroll by. No screen? Everything happens on the phones.

YouNothing to touch. Don't like a photo? One tap on your phone and it's gone.
A wedding reception: guests in front of a big screen showing a photo of the newlyweds
11:04 pmThe cake

Sixty phones around the wedding cake

“The wedding cake, before the first slice”

The programme keeps a slot for the cake, at the end of dinner. Everyone crowds around, looking for their angle. Tomorrow you'll have your cake from forty different angles, and above all your faces as you cut it.

YouYou cut the cake. You're in the photos, not behind them.

Uncle Bernard teaches rock'n'roll

“Teach someone a dance move, and photograph the lesson”

Everyone teaches someone else a dance move. Uncle Bernard teaches rock'n'roll to the university friends, who return the favour with the dance of the summer. The photos are blurry, the smiles are huge.

YouYou dance. The challenges keep coming until the end time you chose.

Step 1 of 5

“Yes, but…” Your questions, our answers

The six worries every couple shares with us.

A grandmother blowing a kiss

Granny doesn't have a smartphone.

She'll play anyway, often as the star: many challenges are played in groups (“three generations”, “the couple married the longest”). A grandchild holds the phone, she strikes the pose. And if the room screen is on, she sees everything.

A barn decorated for a wedding

The signal at the château is dreadful.

Clinkpop was designed for barns and vaulted cellars. The photo is taken right away, then goes out on its own as soon as the signal returns, with automatic retries. Nothing is lost. The venue's Wi-Fi can be printed on the card.

A guest smiling as she watches the party

Some people don't like this kind of game.

Nothing is compulsory. Anyone who doesn't scan is never disturbed. The challenges are gentle, never a forfeit or anything embarrassing, and you can choose a more tender mood. Those who don't play often end up in other people's photos, delighted.

What about children?

No challenge targets children. The table card reminds guests not to photograph other people's children without their parents' consent. Nothing is public, you remove a photo with one tap, and every guest can remove their own. Teenagers love it: finally something to do.

Friends laughing as they look at their phones

Nobody will install an app.

Exactly: there's nothing to install. On iPhone and Android alike, the QR code opens Clinkpop in the browser, no app store involved. No account, no e-mail, no password: just a first name.

They'll drain their batteries.

Between two challenges there's nothing to do: the phone goes back in the pocket until the next one. A challenge is one photo, like the ones your guests take anyway. Twelve photos in a day is far less than a story.

After the wedding

Your wedding, through a hundred and twenty pairs of eyes

Your photographer takes the beautiful pictures. Your guests bring back everything else: behind the scenes, the fits of laughter, the moments you missed.

The whole album, sorted by challenge

Every photo carries the first name of whoever took it. You finally know who took that stunning portrait of your grandfather.

Download everything in one click

A single file, in high definition, enough for a 20 × 30 cm print. For you, for a photo book, for the family.

The best ones, already on top

Your guests give hearts, and each challenge's favourite goes to the top. You mark your own favourites with a star and download them separately.

Yours to share, if you want

You can open the album to your guests with a private link, and close it whenever you like. Or keep it just for the two of you.

Your memories stay yours

  • Nothing is public: secret links, invisible to search engines.
  • Every guest can remove their photo at any time, and so can you.
  • Album kept for 12 months, with a reminder one month before deletion.
  • Photos hosted in France, in the European Union.
  • No facial recognition, no advertising with your photos.
  • No reuse, no training of artificial intelligence.

Why not instead…

What Clinkpop adds to your day

We don't replace anyone. We do what nobody else can: get the whole room playing.

A wedding photographer at work during dinner

Your photographer

Essential, and complementary

They take the portraits, the ceremony, the beautiful light. But they're on their own, and can't be at ten tables at once. Your guests can.

Them: the beautiful pictures. Your guests: everything else.

Disposable cameras

Charming, but…

A dozen cameras to buy, plus developing. Half the films end up blurry or forgotten under a napkin, and you see the results weeks later. Nobody knows what to photograph.

Clinkpop: challenges that say what to photograph, and everything the next day.

The WhatsApp group or shared album

Free, and empty

You create the group, print the QR code, and three people post. The others forget, or send everything three weeks later. No surprise, no game, no reason to leave the table.

Clinkpop: a reason to play every 45 minutes.

The photo booth

Fun, but in a corner

Often several hundred euros, a queue, and always the same people. The photos are posed in front of the same backdrop, far from what's happening in the room.

Clinkpop: the whole room becomes the backdrop, for €59.

Questions

Everything couples ask us

Your guests

Do our guests need to install an app?

No. They scan their table's QR code with the camera and play right away, in the browser, on iPhone and Android alike. No account, no e-mail, no password: just a first name.

How are they alerted to a challenge?

On Android, the phone rings and vibrates, even in a pocket, once notifications are allowed. On iPhone, it rings while the page is open; once the page is added to the home screen (two taps, explained on the page), it rings in a pocket too. And the room screen, if it's on, announces each challenge to everyone.

What about guests without a smartphone?

They play with the others. Most challenges are done in groups, and one phone per photo is enough. Grandparents are often the stars of the day (“three generations”, “the couple married the longest”).

Can our international guests play?

Yes. Clinkpop appears in English on a phone set to English, challenges included, and anyone can switch language with one tap.

On the day

How many challenges, and when?

At the rhythm you choose: every 45 minutes by default (about a dozen challenges for a typical day), or every 20 or 30 minutes, every hour, every 1 hr 30. Each one lands at the right moment of the day (drinks, dinner, cake, party), give or take a few minutes, at a time your guests don't know. Prefer to decide yourselves? Choose “by hand” and launch each challenge from your phone.

What about the ceremony or the speeches?

You choose when the game starts: after the ceremony, for example, so it stays phone-free. And if a moment is just right, you launch the next challenge with one tap from your phone.

Do we need a big screen or a DJ?

No, both are optional. Without a screen, the photos are revealed on the phones after each challenge. With a screen, it's a real show: all you need is a computer connected to the projector or TV, nothing to touch after that.

The signal at our venue is very poor. Will it still work?

Yes, it's built for that. The answer is recorded right away and the photo goes out as soon as the signal returns, with automatic retries. You just need a little signal to open the page the first time: add the venue's Wi-Fi and it will be printed on the card.

What if someone posts an embarrassing photo?

You remove it with one tap from your phone: it disappears from the screen, the phones and the album, and the file is deleted. Every guest can also remove their own photo at any time. And the challenges are written to stay elegant: never a forfeit, never mockery.

Before and after

How long does it take to prepare?

Five minutes. Your names, the date, the start and end times. The programme of challenges is ready. You print the cards, done. Changing the mood, removing a challenge or adding your own is possible, never required.

Can we write our own challenges?

Yes, up to five, on top of the ready-made programme: “a photo with Uncle Jacques”, “the whole rugby-club table”. You choose the moment, and your challenge takes the place of a planned one. A filter weeds out inappropriate words; for the rest, we trust you.

Does it replace our photographer?

No, and that's not the point. Your photographer takes the beautiful pictures. Clinkpop brings you your guests' point of view and, above all, brings the day to life. Photographers like it too: one challenge puts them in the picture, for once.

Who can see the photos, and for how long?

During the party, each guest sees the photos of the challenges they played. Afterwards, the album is yours: you can open it to your guests with a private link, and close it whenever you like. Nothing is public or visible to search engines. The album is kept for 12 months, downloadable in one click; we remind you one month before it is deleted.

Can we try before we pay?

Yes. Everything can be set up and tested for free with 10 people. You pay once, when you want to open the game to all your guests.

Our witnesses want to give it to us as a surprise. Is that possible?

Of course. They create the wedding, set out the cards on the day, and you discover the first challenge at the same time as your guests. The next day, they pass you the album link.

How do we book?

Create your wedding and try it for free with 10 guests. When you're ready, pay online from your space: the game opens to all your guests straight away.

It's 5:32 pm

What if it were your room playing?

Five minutes tonight, and your wedding has its programme. Try it for free with your witnesses, and only pay once you're convinced.
