Surprise photo challenges for family parties
The whole clan, finally in the same photo
A cousins' gathering where every branch plays together.
During the party, a small photo challenge drops at a surprise time on everyone's phone, all at once. The cousins from the city clink glasses with the ones from the coast, teenagers help grandma, and the whole family ends up in the same album.

Welcome to the party: The Martin family reunion
What's your name?
Every branch
The Martin family reunion: the city cousins, the coast cousins, and everyone else
At a family party, everyone knows their own branch. Distant cousins say hello, then go back to their table. The challenges give them a real reason to look for each other, introduce themselves and pose together.
“One person from each branch of the family, together in one photo”
One person from each branchYou have to find the cousin you haven't seen since Sophie's wedding. That's the whole point.“Two people who had not seen each other for ages, at the moment they meet again”
Reunions, caught in the momentThe moment two cousins recognise each other after fifteen years. Nobody thought to photograph it.“Recreate an old family photo someone keeps on their phone”
The old photo, recreatedSomeone pulls the 1987 photo out of their phone, and the whole table strikes the pose again.
Your own challenges, up to 5
The family jokes nobody else gets, turned into challenges:
- “Uncle Jack's famous moustache, imitated by his whole table”
- “The survivors of the rainy 2009 reunion”
- “Grandma Edith's dish, before it disappears”
You pick the moment, and your challenge takes the place of a planned one.
The long table
From noon to evening, challenge by challenge
You set the start and end time, we suggest 12 PM to 7 PM. Challenges drop on their own, about every 45 minutes, each one at the right moment of the day.
12:10 PMArrivalThe reunions
Two people who had not seen each other for ages, at the moment they meet again
Hugs, recognitions, everyone asking who's who. The first challenge drops while cars are still arriving.
1:20 PMMealThe long table
The long table, seen from its far end
Someone gets up and walks to the far end to see it all at once: thirty places, three generations, sunshine.
2:40 PMMealThe family dish
The family dish everyone asks the recipe for
Aunt Martha's casserole finally gets its official photo. And the recipe ends up going round.
4:05 PMDessertThe homemade desserts
The most successful homemade dessert
Every branch brought one. The contest isn't official, but everyone votes.
5:30 PMGardenLast century's pose
A group photo like last century: stiff poses and serious faces
Stiff poses, serious faces, the tall ones standing at the back: the family photo like the ones on great-grandma's walls.
6:45 PMLast hourThe photo for next time
The photo to bring out at the next family gathering
The last challenge asks for the photo you'll bring out at the next reunion. Nobody wants to leave before it's taken.
The times are examples: on the day, nobody knows them in advance, not even you.
From 7 to 90
Every generation plays, in its own way
Nothing to install, no account: scan the table card, type your first name, done. One phone is enough for a whole table.
- 90The matriarchNo smartphone? Her grandson takes the photo, she strikes the pose. She'll be in half the album.
- 65The grandparentsThe phone rings, the challenge shows up big. They're often done before everyone else.
- 40The parentsThey organise, they cook, and for once they play too: the challenges drop on their own.
- 16The teenagersThey put their phone down to go and find the uncle they didn't know. With their phone.

What about the children?
No family party challenge targets children: the catalogue was reviewed for that, challenge by challenge. The challenges are about the grown-ups, the table and the party. And every table card says so:
Please do not photograph children who are not yours without their parents' consent.

Questions
What people ask us about family parties
Does it work for a reunion of 120 people?
Yes. The price is the same up to 150 guests, and one card per table is enough. The more of you there are, the more the challenges mix the branches: you have to go and find the cousins you never see.
And for Christmas with fifteen of us?
It works very well too. The free trial even lets you play with 10 without paying anything. The challenges drop between two courses, and the whole table plays at once.
Grandma has no smartphone. Can she play?
Of course: most challenges are done in groups, one phone per photo is enough. Those without one are often the stars of the album.
What about the children?
No family party challenge targets children: the catalogue was reviewed for that. The table card reminds guests not to photograph other people's children without their parents' consent, and nothing is public.
Can we add our own challenges?
Yes, up to five, on top of the ready-made programme: family jokes, an uncle's nickname, the photo from the last reunion. You pick the moment, and you can remove a challenge that doesn't suit you.
The party is in the countryside, the signal is weak.
It's built for that. The photo is taken right away and sent as soon as the network is back, with automatic retries. You just need a little signal to open the page the first time: the house Wi-Fi can be printed on the card.
Who gets the album?
The organiser, by email, the next morning. They can open it to the whole family with a private link, even to those who couldn't come. The album is kept for 12 months and can be downloaded in one click.
Do our guests need to install an app?
No. They scan the card's QR code with their camera and play right away, in the browser, on iPhone and Android. No account, no email: just a first name.
The next time you all get together
What if, at the next gathering, the whole clan played?
Five minutes tonight, and the party has its challenge programme. Try it free with 10 people, pay only once you're convinced.
